As cars become increasingly complex, it’s becoming more and more difficult to gather all the information sent back by the numerous sensors scattered throughout the vehicle. That’s why Ford designed a dashboard capable of automatically adjusting itself.
An LCD screen as an interface
Other brands (like Jaguar on the latest XF) already do this, but it’s the first time this type of dashboard has appeared in a mainstream brand. The advantage of this type of display is that it can be adjusted and personalized at will by the driver.
The company SmartDesign designed this screen for Ford. It displays a wealth of information clearly and legibly, in the form of vertical bars. Only the speedometer is still displayed in a traditional format, even though it’s virtual.
