This system uses sensors that analyze the activity of the suspension springs 100 times per second to automatically adjust their travel and resistance accordingly. ABC (Active Body Control) “Magic Body Control”: an evolution in intelligenceHowever, the ABC system sometimes lacked responsiveness. And that’s where “MBC” comes in. Indeed, this new system analyzes the road several meters ahead of the car to better anticipate suspension settings. This is made possible by the installation of a digital camera at the front of the vehicle and a suitable electronic processing circuit (the whole assembly weighs nearly 15 kg). Thus, when approaching a rough road or a speed bump, the suspension settings will be softer than on a smooth highway, for example.This intelligent system will be available on the S-Class and CL, before likely being rolled out to other models in subsequent years.
