Trade-in bonus, government incentive
The government incentive is in addition to the existing eco-bonus. The eco-bonus is awarded to vehicles with low CO2 emissions. The trade-in bonus, on the other hand, is awarded to vehicles powered by alternative energy sources such as electricity or natural gas.

€100 Regulation (EC) No 715/2007
is a law that specifies how much a car can pollute. If your new car pollutes more than the old one it replaces, you must pay more tax on it. If it pollutes less, you can receive a bonus.
With the new regulations that came into effect on January 1, 2020, the trade-in bonus is only available if your old car emits 120 grams of CO2 or less per kilometer. If it emits more than that, then you will not receive the bonus. What is a trade-in? It’s simple, a trade-in is a car trade-in.
