NEW DUCATO: THE FIRST SELF-DRIVING VAN

The new Fiat Ducato is equipped with an electronic architecture that enables it to benefit from electric power steering, coupled with the new “Co-Driver” assistance system. This gives the Ducato Level 2 semi-autonomous driving capabilities, meaning it can handle steering, acceleration, and braking. Indeed, the Co-Driver Assistance system is capable of:

• Suggesting the appropriate speed based on road signs thanks to traffic sign recognition;
• Keeping the Ducato centered in its lane thanks to lane keeping assist;
• Managing acceleration and braking in traffic jams.

The new Ducato is therefore the first commercial vehicle capable of self-driving, making life easier for delivery drivers and long-haul haulers.
