damaged at the mirror itself, the bracket, or the housing. After identifying the problem, proceed to disassemble the rearview mirror. To do this,

use a flathead screwdriver to detach the part concealing the screws (hold the fixed arm of the mirror). Remove the cap from the control rod to remove the mirror (pull the mirror forward).
