Audi unveils its new A6 e-tron: an electric turning point for the grand tourer

After months of waiting, Audi has finally unveiled its all-new **A6 e-tron**. This iconic grand tourer from the brand goes electric and promises impressive ranges, even for its S version. Available in **Sportback** and **Avant**, this model marks a significant turning point for Audi.

Design and Innovations

• The design of the new **A6 e-tron** has been thoroughly revamped. The model now boasts a more fluid profile, and the trunk has been replaced by a hatchback, similar to that of the **A7**. At the front, the grille is closed, reflecting Audi’s pursuit of efficiency. Aesthetic elements, such as the slimmer headlights and the wide LED strip at the rear, are reminiscent of the new **A5**.

Interior and technology

The **A6 e-tron’s** cabin features a large curved screen that integrates the 11.9-inch **Virtual Cockpit** and the 14.5-inch infotainment system. An additional screen can be installed for the passenger. Onboard technology includes a voice assistant using **ChatGPT**, and a panoramic sunroof similar to that of the **Porsche Taycan**.

At launch, Audi is offering two powertrains for the **A6 e-tron**, each equipped with a **94.9 kWh** battery. The base version, **A6 e-tron Performance**, delivers 367 horsepower, providing a WLTP range of 757 kilometers for the Sportback and 721 kilometers for the Avant (station wagon). The top-of-the-line **S6 e-tron** delivers up to 550 horsepower with Boost mode, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h.

• In terms of charging, the **A6 e-tron** can add 310 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes with a 270 kW fast charger. Charging from 10 to 80% takes 21 minutes. For standard charging stations, an 11 kW charger is included as standard.
