In response to the defective airbag scandal, Stellantis is implementing a practical and innovative solution: at-home airbag replacement. The company aims to expedite this process to ensure user safety without requiring customers to travel.

A service at your home

Since mid-July, Stellantis has been offering an airbag replacement service directly at customers’ homes, an initiative that is gradually expanding across France.

With more than 241,000 vehicles recalled in France, the group is striving to manage the situation effectively. Users, often dissatisfied, can now benefit from an at-home service that simplifies the repair process. The group has already replaced 43,000 airbags on the C3and

models, and another 24,000 are currently being replaced. This operation aims to address the urgent needs of customers while respecting the recommendation not to drive the affected vehicles. Strategic Deployment

• The “Home Repairs” operation began in Marseille and is gradually expanding to the southern half of France, then to other regions starting in early August.
• Technicians are trained to replace up to ten airbags per day.
• Each intervention takes approximately half an hour per vehicle.

The rate of replacements is expected to increase to meet demand.

To find out if your vehicle is affected by this recall, simply visit the dedicated website and enter your vehicle identification number (VIN). To date, 80,000 owners have not yet responded to the call, and 20,000 customers need to be contacted.

Thierry Koskas, the CEO of Citroën, emphasizes the exceptional scale of this operation and hopes that the majority of recalls will be completed by the end of the year.
