The Ford Model T: an international success

The launch of the Ford Model T marked the beginning of the 20th century. This legendary car was immortalized in films of the era, particularly those starring Laurel and Hardy.

The Ford Model T: A Legendary Car

The Ford Model T was the very first model to be assembled according to William C. Klann’s concept. By adopting the assembly line method, Ford was able to reduce production time and costs. Thus, in 1914, assembling a Ford Model T took only 93 minutes. During that same year, Ford produced far more vehicles than all other manufacturers combined. Furthermore, the standardization of spare parts significantly reduced the selling price of the Ford Model T. It should be noted that this model was produced between 1908 and 1927. During this period, the company sold nearly 15 million units. The successor to the Ford Model T is none other than the Ford Model A.
